Prices
£tba for one day/£tba for two days/£tba for three days/£tba for four days
Because these days are extremely expensive to run, it is not possible to give a refund as we need confirmed bookings in order for the days to go ahead. In case you are not able to come we will try to fit you onto an alternative day, subject to availability This will usually be at the last minute as the days tend to fill up quickly and therefore any space will be due to a cancellation.
Monday 8 July ALL DAY (9.30am–4.30pm) |
Introduction to fascia: See Monday 8 July for details |
Tuesday 9 July ALL DAY (9.30am–4.30pm) |
1. Fascial relationship of the diaphragm and pubis: Can we create a fascial line from the inside, posterior edge of the diaphragm into the lower hips? We talk a lot about the diaphragm coming down to the pubis as we know it does, but how much of this is stabilised at the back? 2. Movement of the SI joint and sacrum: Looking at it from the anterior aspect and seeing what moves. Does the SI joint really move and if so how much? How much of the overlaying tissues of the pelvis cover the joint and how does the coccyx hang in there? We have all learned some ‘facts’ about the SI joint and this workshop WILL prove or dispel many of them. 3. The 3D spine: Anterior to posterior spine, and the possible fascial connection with slipped discs and other spinal structures. What does a cross section of the spine taken from anterior to posterior look like? Can we create a 'slipped disc' and observe how the muscle tissues impact on the disc and spinal structures? How much of a disc has a relationship to fascia and how strong is it? Can we move it? [Rescheduled from 28 March] |
Wednesday 10 July ALL DAY (9.30am–4.30pm) |
“Sling Something Simple” - the relationship between the back and the knees: The relationship between the back and the knees seem to be characterised by a sling which created rotation and balance. This idea would allow for a new model of understanding stability between the pubis, the sacrum and the knees and give an understanding of how stance and gait impact on effective knee function. In this dissection we will see whether we can quite literally join the knees around a lumbar sling and examine the implications for movement, injury and possible areas of treatment. |
Friday 30 August ALL DAY (9.30am–4.30pm) |
